Meet the Team

I am Rachel, the Manager of Buttercup Barn, I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCO for the setting. I have a level 3 in early years education as well as a level 4 in children’s care learning and development. I have 19 years’ experience in early years settings of which 13 of these have been in management roles. I have a passion for giving children the best possible start and enjoy helping teams to grow and develop. 

Hi, I’m Kate, the Nursery Deputy Manager at Buttercup Barn and room leader of Pre-School Badgers room. I have a degree in Early Years Education and have 19 years’ experience working with children. In 2009, as Deputy Manager, I was involved in the set up of the nursery. I qualified as a Forest school leader in 2012 and our Forest school sessions are now my favourite part of the week.  I take a very hands on approach, ensuring that my team are happy within their roles and have the skills needed to guarantee that each of our children have a wonderful and safe experience every day. Having two children of my own, I truly appreciate the important role that a nursery has in supporting young children and their families.
